Cordillera Blanca Climbing with Andean Raju Expeditions
The Cordillera Blanca is the highest tropical mountain range in the world and the best place in South America for glacier climbing. From our base in Huaraz, we guide climbs on more than a dozen peaks between 5,000 and 6,768 meters, from first glacier summits to technical ice faces and Huascarán, the highest mountain in Peru.
Climbs for every level
First glacier summits: Nevado Mateo, Vallunaraju, Pisco, Ishinca and Urus are non-technical peaks, perfect to learn crampon and rope team skills.
Your first 6,000 m peak: Tocllaraju and Chopicalqui are the classic choices for climbers with some glacier experience.
Technical and high altitude expeditions: Alpamayo, Artesonraju, Quitaraju and Huascarán require solid ice climbing technique and excellent fitness.
Why climb with us
All our climbs are led by IFMGA / UIAGM certified mountain guides, with a professional cook, porters, quality mountain tents, satellite phone and first aid kit with oxygen. The best season for climbing in the Cordillera Blanca is from May to September, the dry season in the Peruvian Andes.
