EXCELENTE A base de 116 reseñas javier o2025-08-25Verificada EXTRAORDINARY We have just finished a private double expedition with Andeanraju, Tocllaraju and Alpamayo. The organization has been perfect, without any fissure. The team is extraordinary, from Alex (UIAGM certified guide), to Maduen (the chef – many big-name restaurants would like to have him at the front of the stove by now –), to the campers and porters (Juliño, Wilson and Edgar), and the muleteers (Roque and Richard). All of them, always with a smile on their faces. We achieve 100% success: Urus e Ushinca (to "enter into matter"), Tocllaraju and Alpamayo. And success, of course, was everyone's. Leading the logistics, the CEOs of Andeanraju, Pablo and Maite, charming and resolute, whom we already knew from another previous expedition. And the ones coming with them for next year! En resumen, 100% recomendable. I have no doubt that there will be other good agencies in Huaraz, but I attest that Andeanraju is extraordinary. Quest6891612025-08-21Verificada Great tours with Andean Raju Expeditions I was traveling with my daughter in Cordillera Blanca in early August 2025 accompanied by Pablo Bello Mejia, leader of Andean Raju Expeditions. We had a great week of touring, which included climbing Nevado Mateo, and Nevado Vallunaraju (which my daughter reached together with Pablo while I had stayed in the valley). I have over 50 years of experience with high-altitude tours in the Alps, the Andes and the Himalayas. Our tours have been organized reliably and well with the help of Andean Raju Expeditions. Communication (English and Spanish) was also very good. Pablo Bello Mejia is not only an experienced climber and excellent guide, but also a warm and cordial person with whom we got along wonderfully on the tours. This is much more than just offering rope safety. Pablo took excellent care of my daughter in particular, who is less experienced and reached her first 5000m peaks with him. I can highly recommend engaging for tours in the Cordillera Andean Raju Expeditions, and would go back on tour with Pablo and his people at any time. Carlos A2025-08-12Verificada The best experience in Mateo and Huaraz! Matthew’s experience with the guide Paul and his companions has been extraordinary! There have been 10 organizations and they have attended to all members from the beginning to the end of the route. They have helped, adapted and, best of all, provided a high level of security for all. When I was looking to do Mateo, on the table I had many options but the best certainly with Andean! The decision was clear: Pablo and his companions carry a maximum of 3 or 4 people on the rope and that safety on the mountain is essential. You will often find cheap day tours where you take 6 (or more) tourists by guide and that is a danger. Don't save on costs in the mountains. Before hiring talk better with Pablo and go with him! On top of that you will help a small Enterprise and not the big organizations that hog all of Huaraz and Customer Service is very doubtful...Thank you team Andean! Keep it up!!Carles. Tomas J2025-07-27Verificada Highly recommended Pablo, the owner of the agency, went out of his way to organise the acclimatisation trek and climb according to our wishes. He provided a very fit and professional team with an excellent cook. Also, they were very good company. Alex, our mountain guide, was extremely knowledgable and skilled. He knows every detail of Alpamayo which ensured a successful climb. We would choose Andean Raju Expeditions any time again. Connie2025-06-28Verificada Trip of a lifetime ❤️, We actually found the company on TripAdvisor, I didn’t really look much into it, but my friend did. Pablo the co-owner is awesome and answered all our questions beforehand on what’s app. I don’t think we were the easiest clients. And they accommodated our diet which was gluten-free and vegetarian. Our cook CIRO was amazing. Hard to believe we had fresh vegetables at over 4000 m for example a stuffed pepper with cheese.! I loved our guide Maite , she gave us many opportunities to practice Spanish and her English was just fine. A strong woman mountaineer who loved trekking as well, I was in my happy place the whole 10 days. Our first five days we had four seasons in one day. We had snow with the passes rain, hail, sun. And the last five the sun came out and it was its normal blue sky days. Our donkey Driver Solio , has been doing it for 30 years. Such a warm, friendly man, everyone was friendly and was like family on the trek . I really like the flexibility of this company and their suggestions. And how much they accommodated what we wanted. I also had a little fishing lesson from.Solio , on my first cast I really tangled up the line and he patiently untangled it. He’d already been out fishing at 5 AM , and caught a dozen trout, and I wasn’t going to get up that early, so I struck out. Still trout for lunch This was our rest day. Which we still ended up doing a 8K up to the gorgeous lagoon. Then Maite gave us a yoga Pilates class. To stretch day nine you probably should start stretching.🤣 I took notice of the other companies and talk to other people and I know that we chose the right one. We were given two bucket showers along the way. I can’t tell you how envious other travelers looked when I walked out wrapped in a towel.! we also had a banjo set up for us at nite , sometimes it’s a long walk to take a pee! Another nice thing they did well a few, a cup of hot coca tea brought to our tent every morning as we were stuffing our bags. And when we got to camp, we were brought a small tub of hot water to clean up. Their gear was good my friend rented a sleeping bag and mat . our tents were good. I had my own Thermo rest and sleeping bag. This company is very hands-on. Pablo came and met us our first day when we did an acclamation hike. We paid to do two hikes with them out of Haurez , one you could definitely do on your own, but the other I was certainly glad we had Maite . Laguna. Churup is a good warm-up.! Pablo set up our transport as well back to the airport! I saw solo travelers doing it themselves, and we’re certainly looked done in some of them with their big packs. I do a lot on my own as well, but this track was so nice to have the support of Maite , Ciro and Solio . It made it so I could just trek and enjoy. The trekking is hard, but not too hard, the weather was challenging a little bit, but not too bad. I’m looking forward to coming back and doing it again with them.❤️ I’d like to add in a second rest day to go explore. This is some of the most stunning trekking . I’ve done in my life and I’ve been Nepal, Argentina, Tanzania, New Zealand, etc. It asks a lot of you and gives a lot to you. You must be in decent shape to do this and definitely acclimate with a couple hikes. I highly recommend Andean Raju expeditions. If your mountaineering, I know you can count on them as well. Whatever you decide to do. They let us choose our own dates as it was just my friend and I and worked with our schedule. Period I also like that they support women in business. And I recommend that you stay in the lodge in Yalpa . I’m not spelling this right anyway way better than staying in the field. We stayed with a lovely woman who also teaches and we were there when the kids were practicing song and dance. We also went to a woman owned business in Solios village at the start and had lunch and at the end we had lunch again. It was delicious. We never had any stomach issues or anything on this trip. They put in a lot of loving and care in their adventures. RMT2025-06-27Verificada Challenging and rewarding hiking and camping experience While I have done a lot of traveling, this was my first time hiking and camping at high altitude for over a week. Andean Raju Expeditions did a great job providing information, practica support and encouragement. I especially appreciated their understanding and accommodation of food restrictions including celiac’s (gluten free), vegetarian and low sugar. I also liked their support of local women-owned businesses along our route. Николай А2025-06-21Verificada Amazing This was the most amazing hiking trek I have ever had! Huayhuash mountain range is an amazing place - if you love mountains, this place is a must visit. Andean Raju expedition team was awesome - we had the best guides and chefs, the food was delicious and enough, we had plenty of water, tea, coffee and treats. The tents are big enough and insulate quiet well, so you are not cold in the night. Donkey drivers were also very kind and we didn't have any problems with out luggage. In general if you consider going to Huayhuash trek - Andean Raju expedition is your choice! Franco2025-05-26Verificada Nevado Pastoruri Despite the difficult route to the Nevado Pastoruri, especially for people who are not used to this kind of physical activities, the Andean Raju team helped my relatives in such a way that they could arrive happy and enjoying every step. Really an unforgettable experience Franco2025-05-26Verificada Hermosa Laguna Parón Too great a trip. The transport took us to the same lagoon, and from there we went to the viewpoint to take better photos. Really the service helped us to get there in the best way and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Lagoon. João Gabriel R2025-05-07Verificada Incredible 8-day Huayhuash Trekking Experience with Andean Raju We did the 8-day Huayhuash trek with Andean Raju and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, everything was well organized, and the team made us feel safe and cared for at all times. Our guide and cook, Darvin, was exceptional: very careful, respectful, patient, and highly skilled. Every evening, he briefed us about the next day’s hike, and he prepared delicious and varied meals — one of the highlights of the trip. We were truly impressed by the diversity and quality of the dishes, always different, tasty, and abundant. Our porter, Solio, was also fantastic — always helpful and friendly, making sure everything ran smoothly. The overall logistics were so well handled that, even in the middle of the wilderness, we felt as comfortable as if we were staying in a hotel. That made a huge difference in helping us rest well after the demanding hikes. The landscapes are absolutely breathtaking, but what truly made the experience special was the professionalism and care of the team. We highly recommend this trek to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in the Andes with safety and comfort.Tip: Even though we’re both active people, we struggled a bit with the altitude.Congratulations to the Andean Raju team — especially Darvin and Solio — for giving us such a memorable experience. We definitely recommend it and hope to come back for more adventures!João Gabriel Reis & Paula ValkinirHuayhuash - 8 days | Start date: April 29, 2025
Pisco peak is located in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca of the peruvian andes, it is part of the Huandoy massif. This mountain has two summits: Pisco east peak, the closest to the Chacraraju that is rarely climbed and the most popular is the Pisco west peak, being this last one the most climbed during the season and one of the great climbing classics of the Cordillera Blanca.
Pisco peak is considered as the balcony of the Cordillera Blanca due to its height and location since it enjoys a 360° visual domain of the most emblematic mountains of the Cordillera Blanca.
From its summit, the following mountains can be seen: to the east, the Caraz, Aguja, La Esfinge and Los Huandoy peaks, to the west, the amazing Chacraraju; a little further north, the Garcilaso Pyramid and the Artesonraju; in the northern horizon, the Alpamayo and Santa Cruz peaks; to the south, the majestic Huascaran mountain dominates.
Pisco peak doesn’t present great difficulties and it is relatively easy to climb to its summit by the normal route. Pisco is the mountain chosen by many mountaineers as part of the acclimatization program prior to climbing another mountain with higher altitude and greater technical complexity, it can also be a final objective after a trekking program in the Andes.

5:00 am (Pick up at your hotel)
Participants must be in excellent physical condition to join this climb. Andean Raju Expeditions recommends previous and constant preparation as a crucial factor to take on this challenge, then, the physical stress caused by the days of climbing will be minimized.
We strongly advise all participants to have an adequate training plan in gyms, outdoor sports, climbing peaks, bearing weight and long day hikes.
If you would like our advice, we can provide you a training plan after evaluation of your experience in hiking and sporting activity.
You must have knowledge of glacier progression, you must have a knowledge of mountain rescue, safety and equipment management. These skills allow you to optimize your safety and generate a collaborative work with our guides during the climb.
Participants should have experience in altitude the last week prior to the start the climbing Alpamayo, which ensures adequate acclimatization and conditioning of the body to the altitude. It is recommended to stay above 4,000 masl before before starting the climb.
We suggest an acclimatization program before your expedition, it can be mountains of the Cordillera Blanca with a minimum of 6 days of anticipation. We recommend acclimatization at Churup lake, then a previous climbing in Mateo peak.
After pick up we will head north through the valley of Huaylas to Yungay, from this point we will enter Llanganuco canyon. On the way we will stop for 30 minutes for breakfast. We will continue our journey and after about 10 minutes we will make another stop to check in at the Huascaran National Park control and after another 20 minutes we will go around the beautiful Chinancocha and Orconcocha lakes. Finally the transport arrives to Yuraccorral, the starting point of our hike to the base camp and place where the donkey drivers and donkeys are waiting for us to carry the logistic camping equipment. Our hike starts in the Cebollapampa plain and continues uphill for about 2 hours until we reach Pisco Base Camp. During the hike we will enjoy beautiful views of Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha and Chacraraju peaks. The sunset is spectacular when the sun lights up the color of the snow on Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha and Huandoys peaks.

We will continue making traverses to overcome crevasses, we will arrive at the Huandoy/Pisco pass and take a brief rest.
