Yanapaccha snowy mountanin is located inside Huascaran National Park in the Cordillera Blanca, the approach point to this mountain is 3 hours north of Huaraz town, it is strategically nestled between colossal mountains of more than 6 thousand meters of the famous Cordillera Blanca as Chopicalqui and Chacraraju peaks, and from its summit there is a spectacular 360° panoramic view of the surrounding peaks.
The climb to Yanapaccha peak offers beautiful views and sightings of local animals at the base camp next to the mountain’s lake.
The climb will take the climber through crevasses, ice slopes and small technical steps. With such a fabulous landscape at its summit, very similar to the summit of Nevado Pisco, Yanapaccha is a very popular mountain in this area because of the great visual domain of the great mountains, with a moderate technical difficulty that offers more excitement and greater challenge for those who like to grow in initial technical climbing skills on ice and with a summit in the style of a balcony of the Cordillera.
